BScol : The Balanced Scorecard Collaborative.
This is run by a Harvard based group and provides good insight into contemporary performance management techniques.
The Balanced Scorecard (developed by Dr's Kaplan and Norton) is based upon the principle that proper management of non-financial value drivers is the key to achieving sustainable value. The collaborative often provide insightful on-line web casts to explain their principles and approach.
Note: ISΔS utilises Balanced Scorecard principles within the V2V and performance management processes to facilitate improved alignment and non-financial metrics balance. Separate white papers on these processes are available to clients upon request.
EFQM: The European Foundation for Quality Management.
The EFQM promotes improved competitiveness through business excellence and is famous for its business excellence model which promotes the concept of sustainable value via the alignment of leadership, strategic management, key business processes and performance management in delivering total stakeholder value.
Note: ISΔS approach and methodologies are fully compatible with the core concepts of these contemporary best practice principles.
The philosophy and principles of Dr. Deming are as relevant and applicable today as they were 60 years ago. They have had a profound impact on business culture and management and go well beyond the principles of TQM with which he is often associated. Dr Demings 14 point philosophy and System of Profound Knowledge (SoPK) provide great insight into what it takes to build and grow a sustainable business. Yet I find that they are also based upon common sense principles.
